This policy covers deannaburnhouse.com (the "Site"), operated under the pen name Deanna Burnhouse. It explains what information is collected from visitors and subscribers, how it's used, and how to control it.

Information Collected

The Site collects information in two ways:

• Newsletter signup. If you join the mailing list or request a free book, you provide your email address (and, in some forms, a first name). This is collected and stored by MailerLite, the Site's email service provider.
• Site analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic and page performance. Google Analytics collects standard usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device/browser type, and referring site, generally via cookies. No personally identifying information is intentionally collected through analytics.

No payment or financial information is collected on this Site. Purchases of books happen entirely on third-party platforms (Amazon, Patreon, Ream, and similar), each governed by that platform's own privacy policy.

How Information Is Used

• To send the newsletter and deliver requested content (such as the free book, Starship Seduction).
• To understand how visitors use the Site, so it can be improved.
• Email addresses are never sold. They are not shared with anyone outside the service providers named in this policy (MailerLite, for the purpose of sending email).

Cookies

The Site uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and measure activity. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so won't affect your ability to read the Site, though some analytics features may not function.

Your Choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of any email — this removes your address from the mailing list immediately.
• Request deletion of any data held about you by emailing the address below. Requests are honored promptly.

Third-Party Services

The Site links out to and embeds content from third-party platforms, including Amazon, Patreon, Ream, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Goodreads. Each of these operates under its own privacy policy, which this document does not cover. Review those platforms' policies directly if you have questions about how they handle your data.

Children's Privacy

This Site publishes adult (18+) fiction and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in the Site or its tools. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision.
